Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse for KidsLink Neurobehavioral Center and School
Kidslink Neurobehavioral Center and School, located in Streetsboro, is currently hiring for a part-time Medical Assistant or a Licensed Practical Nurse, to assist with daily and ongoing functions of the Pediatric Neurology Team and to support needs of students in the KidsLink School.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Utilizes medical and administrative skills to provide support to patients, KidsLink School students and healthcare staff
- Administers and documents daily midday medications for KidsLink School students
- Assists with basic medical assessment and first aid care for KidsLink School students
- Monitors on-line medication refill requests and calls in approved, non-controlled refills
- Completes clerical duties, such as procedure scheduling, grading of assessment protocols and preparation of letters/forms
Job Requirements:
- MA certification or state-board certified LPN
- Must be comfortable in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
- Must have a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible
- Experience with people who have Autism or other Developmental Disabilities is a plus
- Experience with medication documentation and dispensing
About KidsLink:
KidsLink Neurobehavioral Center is a multi-specialty group treatment center for children and young adults with developmental disabilities. Services include Psychology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Speech Therapy, OT, PT, ABA and specialized academic tutoring. The KidsLink School serves full time students with autism and other developmental disabilities who have intensive behavioral needs.
Job Type:
- Part-time; 25 hours/week (M-F 9am-2pm)
- Pay varies based on experience – starting at $18/hour.
