Physical Support Staff
The KidsLink School, located in Streetsboro, Ohio is seeking a caring, compassionate, and reliable security team member to work 1:1 alongside our classroom staff assisting with safety, de-escalation and crisis management procedures for our students with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are a specialized facility with highly trained staff and expertise in treating severe problem behavior. Training will be provided in Marcus Crisis Prevention Program.

Daily Responsibilities:
- Respond to situations with a calm and professional demeanor, that may include physical aggression by providing physical support utilizing crisis procedures identified by Board Certified Behavior Analysts
- Under the direction of our behavior specialists, provide redirection and other behavioral interventions to individuals in crisis
- Respond to non-crisis scenarios throughout the school day
- Assist students with daily activities such as toileting and hygiene care
- Demonstrate and perform as an effective adult role model for the students we support
- Assist in creating a physical environment that lends to progress
- Participate in mandatory trainings and refreshers
- Maintain flexibility by providing support to all classrooms when necessary
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma
- Interest in working with people who have developmental disabilities (Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities preferred)
- BCI & FBI background check
- Reliable Transportation
- Ability to work full-time in alignment with our school calendar
Physical Demands:
- Ability to participate in physical interventions, when necessary, and with fidelity to the methods taught through our training model. Physical interventions are low in frequency but may require intense physical exertion. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: kneeling, possibly for extended periods of time on hard surfaces, bending, twisting, and holding.
- Must be willing to wear protective equipment including but not limited to: arm guards, padded jackets, padded helmets, balaclavas when required.
- Ability to physically support students greater than 200 lbs. daily.
- Ability to lift 80/50/20 lbs. regularly
- Risk of exposure to bodily fluids
